past the surface...

today while in bumper to bumper traffic, (for those in Memphis.. 240 at Poplar before Walnut Grove. huyeah... ), i seen this guy who was driving a white, early 90's, two wheel drive toyota pickup truck with tinted windows and a crack in the windshield that ran like a flow chart from the top of the drivers side down to the passenger side windshield wiper. he looked so tired and drawn.

today i seen a man teaching his daughter to drive in said bumper to bumper (mostly stop) traffic. she was driving a 2003'ish, convertible, black BMW 325i. he was making her laugh.. probably to keep her nerves calm and his insurance premiums down.
